Jordan MacRae (b. 1996, Paisley) is a Glasgow-based artist-filmmaker working with obsolete and analog technologies to create moving image and sound works, often centered on loops, repetition, and chance.

With a background in filmmaking, Jordan has worked freelance through-out the UK and internationally, directing music promos for Warner Music talent and shooting documentaries worldwide. Previously, he worked for a London-based production company on travel and humanitarian films. His work has been featured at Aesthetica, Dazed, and Gstaad, where he won Young Filmmaker of the Festival. Now, Jordan focuses on experimental cinema, independently creating Super 8 and 16mm films and composing sound design.

In addition to filmmaking, Jordan produces music under Frederikke Hanne and MP1. His sound practice explores tape loops, samples, and granular synthesis, moving between digital and analog through re-recording techniques, speaker manipulation, and other tactile processes.
